What's interesting about this concert...

  • Overture in C Major is a charming miniature full of sparkling melodies and evocative orchestrations. The music is a highlight of the composer's output.

  • Having been rewritten “at least half a dozen times,” Max Bruch's Violin Concerto remains an audience delight with soaring, endearing melodies and dazzling virtuosic passages.

  • The “Organ” Symphony is nearly unprecedented in scope. And prepare to be awestruck by the sound. "I gave everything to it I was able to give. What I have here accomplished, I will never achieve again," remarked the composer.
