The Board of Directors oversees symphony operations, providing assistance and support in management, publicity, and raising funds for an annual budget of over $160,000. Each concert requires approximately 1,500 hours of labor, most of which is provided by volunteers.
The Board of Directors meets the second Monday of the month, at Calvary Church, 13th and Arapahoe, in Golden.

Dr. William Morse — Music Director and Conductor
Maestro William Morse has been Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra since 1999. The orchestra continues to develop and flourish under his leadership. He is also the music director and conductor of the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra.
Dr. Morse holds bachelor and master degrees in music from Oberlin Conservatory and a doctorate in orchestral conducting from the University of Arizona. He has also studied at the Mozarteum Academy of Music in Salzburg, Austria. He is Professor Emeritus at Metropolitan State College in Denver where he conducted the Metropolitan State Symphony Orchestra and taught Advanced Conducting and Music Theory.
A man of diverse musical talents, Dr. Morse is fond of the literature for symphony and chamber orchestra. His dynamic conducting style, innovative musical taste, and outstanding musicianship have made him very popular with Colorado audiences.
J. Stephen Mallinson — Associate Conductor
Stephen Mallinson is active as a musician and conductor / director in Metro Denver. He has completed Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music, and additional graduate studies have developed his conducting and directing skills. He is currently the Director of Music at Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement, he was a Music and Orchestra teacher for Adams County School District I in primary and secondary education. As a tubaist, he has soloed with the Jefferson Symphony and the Arapahoe Philharmonic. In addition. he is a member of the Jefferson Symphony Brass Quintet ensemble.
